Knights slay Trojans on the road

North Platte Community College Volleyball won a road match against Trinidad State College Friday night, beating the Trojans 3-1. The scores were: 31-29, 18-25, 25-18 and 26-24. 

Middle blocker Morgan Ramsey led the offense for the Knights with 20 kills and 14 digs. Her teammates, Tyrah Woods and Avery Okeson, each contributed five kills. 

Avah Steggall tallied 35 assists, and Whitney Chintala and Tessa Metschke racked up 25 and 20 digs, respectively. 

"I was really proud of the toughness we showed at the end of sets tonight," said head coach Alexa McCall. "We executed well and made some good changes that allowed us to fight back in some situations. I also thought we served well, which really helped our defense." 

The Knights will head to La Junta, Colo. tomorrow. They will square off with Otero College at noon before taking on Seward County Community College at 2 p.m.
