Knights finish second at two-day tournament in Gering

Gering, Neb. - The North Platte Community College women's golf team finished second at the two-day tournament at the Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering. The Knights posted a two-day total of 207-over par.

Iryana Frahm led the team, opening with an 88 before adding four strokes to her second round score to finish with a two-day total of 180 (+36).

Delaine Mize also recorded her best round on Thursday with a 93 to secure tenth place overall with a total score of 197 (+53).

Zoey Oatts improved by five on day two to end with a two-day total of 201 placing eleventh, while Esperanza Mendoza-Rama (+61) and Ellie Blakely rounded out the North Platte players in the field.

North Platte will return to the links for the North Central District Championship. The three-day meet will be held at the Sugar Hills Golf Club in Goodland, Kan. April 26-28.
