Women’s golf place third at Northeastern Tournament

Sterling, Colo. - The North Platte Community College women's golf team finished third at the Northeastern Junior College Tournament, wrapping up the two-day event with a team score of 227-over par.

Leading the way was freshman Iryana Frahm opening with a 91 and adding three strokes in the second round to finish with a two-day total of 185 (+42).

Delaine Mize recorded her best round on Friday with a 92, finishing in 13th place overall with a total score of 194 (+51).

Esperanza Mendoza-Rama carded a 98 on Thursday, adding four strokes on day two to finish tied in 15th. Rounding out the Knights was Zoey Oatts who carded a two-day total of 220 (+77).

North Platte will return to the course for their last fall meet at the Lamar Community College Tournament in Lamar, Colo. Oct. 16-17.
