Women finish second at home tournament
North Platte, Neb.– The North Platte Community College women's golf team tied for second place at their home tournament, finishing with a team score of 230-over par. The two-day tournament featured 21 student-athletes from five schools in Region IX.
Leading the way for the Knights was Iryana Frahm, who shot an opening round 88 and followed with an 89 to finish sixth in the field.
Sophomore Esperanza Mendoza-Rama (+58) improved her first round score by nine strokes to finish 11th, while Delaine Mize (+60) and Zoey Oatts (+78) rounded out the Knights in the field.
North Platte will return to the course for the McCook Community College Tournament at the Heritage Hills Golf Course on Sept. 25-26.
