Men’s golf places sixth at Eastern Wyoming Tournament
Torrington, Wyo. – The North Platte Community College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Eastern Wyoming Tournament with a sixth-place finish, posting a two-day total of 90-over par.
Layne Smotzer led the Knights with a strong opening round of 77 and followed with an 80, finishing at 157 (+13) to tie for 19th.
Simon Capocci posted consistent rounds of 81 to finish at 162 (+18), while Chandler Frahm followed closely with rounds of 81 and 82 for a tournament score of 163 (+19).
Darin Neben rounded out the lineup, finishing 36th overall with a two-day total of 184 (+40).
North Platte will return to the course April 16-17 at the Central Wyoming Tournament at the Riverton Country Club in Riverton Wyo.
