Knights finish ninth at Northeastern Junior College Tournament

Sterling, Colo. – The North Platte Community College men's golf team finished ninth at the shortened Northeastern Junior College Tournament. The second day of the tournament scheduled for Friday was canceled.

Simon Capocci opened with a 74 (+2) the weather shortened tournament to finish 16th in the individual standings.

Chandler Frahm and Layne Smotzer finished one stroke behind their teammate carding a 75 (+3) to finish tied for 22nd.

Sophomore Darin Neben rounded out the Knights in the field with a round of 92 (+20) to finish 48th.

North Platte will return to the course for the Eastern Wyoming Tournament at the Cottonwood Golf Course in Torrington, Wyo. April 9-10.
